A radio-frequency Bose–Einstein condensate magnetometer

چکیده
We report on a radio frequency magnetometer employing Bose–Einstein condensate of 87 Rb atoms held in dipole trap. An AC sensitivity [Formula: see text] is achieved at probing volume text], leading to volume-normalized text]. At larger volumes with the released from magnetic trap used initial phase evaporation sequence, improved allowing two-mode approach for applications requiring sensitivity. Immediate application high-resolution electromagnetic induction imaging expected when compared performance other induction-based platforms.

Tunable atomic magnetometer for detection of radio-frequency magnetic fields.
We describe an alkali-metal magnetometer for detection of weak magnetic fields in the radio-frequency (rf) range. High sensitivity is achieved by tuning the Zeeman resonance of alkali atoms to the rf frequency and partially suppressing spin-exchange collisions in the alkali-metal vapor. We demonstrate magnetic field sensitivity of 2 fT/Hz(1/2) at a frequency of 99 kHz with a resonance width of ...

متن کاملI-DWRL: Improved Dual Wireless Radio Localization Using Magnetometer
In the dual wireless radio localization (DWRL) technique each sensor node is equipped with two ultra-wide band (UWB) radios; the distance between the two radios is a few tens of centimeters. For localization, the DWRL technique must use at least two pre-localized nodes to fully localize an unlocalized node. Moreover, in the DWRL technique it is also not possible for two sensor nodes to properly...
متن کاملThe Viability of Oil Extraction from Trinidad Tar Sands by Radio Frequency Heating: A Simulation Approach
Trinidad has tar sand resources of about 2 billion barrels of oil on land in the Parrylands/Guapo and Brighton areas. With an oil price of over USD 25 per barrel, the commercial extraction of oil from Trinidad tar sands is viable, but it requires a careful study. The relatively small extent of this tar sand (about 10,000 acres and with depths varying from surface to less than 500 feet) and with...
